3 Tips For Effective Logo Design

Type of Logo

There are three type of logo
1. only company name
2. symbol as your logo
3. combination of symbol & company name

If you choose the company name as your logo. It will be visible to the customers immediately and become your brand’s advertisement as well.

But if you choose a symbol as your logo, like Apple, you have to generate awareness about your brand name. And for that, you will have to spend money.

You can also use a combination logo that has both the symbol and company name. Text with an icon or symbol, provide clarity as to what your enterprise is all about.

Use Colors and Fonts Carefully.

There is a science behind colors. Use these standard colors - Blue, red, black, and yellow. Most brands have used these colors.

Use only one or two colors. Ninety-five percent of brands use not more than two colors in their logos.

If possible then select the transparent background or white background. They are the most common logo design background choice. It will look good and very easily placed onto every platform like website, business card, letterhead.

If you select some other colors as background then it can create problems. For example if you select black then all of your branding will have to have a black basis. Even you’ll have to accept a dark web design to match with the logo.

So make background light color and use a darker color for text.

Remember this is a logo so your font should be clearly visible and readable without zoom it.

Keep it Simple.

Simple design easily becomes part of memory. The viewers should get the message at first glance of the logo. Avoid creating a complex logo. If there are too many confusing colors or fonts or a complex shape of the logo, then that logo couldn't catch the attention of viewers. People will forget the complex design.

Most of the global business is represented by its simple logos. For example the Nike logo and MacDonald.

You can see the logo of Google. The logo of Google is the simplest logo all over the world.

Complex logo design never looks good when they are reduced to small sizes.
